As the carriers of the "palanquin" walked towards the location, there were shouts of "Huat ah" (prosperous) and the "palanquin" swayed left and right which was pushed by those people walking in the group. The louder the utterance of "Huat ah", the more "ong" one would hope to get. It was an interesting and facinating for me to witness the first time and can't help but shout along "Huat ah" ! And it was fun !!!
